"Bleh" my mouth tasted like a tire. As I walked into the bathroom and started brushing my teeth my mind wandered[How do i know what a tire tastes like?.......heh Marceline" I spat out the toothpaste and wiped my mouth and got a good look at my self.

My blonde hair wasn't as long as it was when I was a kid. Last year i decide to adopt a short haired style. I'd gotten a thin five o clock shadow, It made the scars on my lip and cheek more visible.

"Alright psyche up..." Takes a few short breathes "...Tonight's your birthday Finn, and tonight your gonna impress Marcy" I looked at myself as the words left my lips and busted out laughing."By the way are you friend's with Football" I said to my reflection remembering a old memory of Bemo.

I got dressed in dark blue jeans, a sky blue shirt and a white hoodie. I hefted on my (i dont know what their called but the fanny pack back pack) over my shoulder. I went out the door full stride.

I picked up a few more things before heading to the candy kingdom, by the time I'd gotten there it was already nighttime.[good thing I said I wanted it at night] I smirked at my own cleverness. I got to the club Bubblegum open in recent years.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY FINN!" I was greeted by balloons and streamers. My friends smiling faces greeting me and giving handshakes and hugs. I smiled and looked up at the banner[19]I was then lifted into a big orange squishy hug.

"Dude I came over this morning to make you bacon pancakes but you weren't there" soon everything i saw was orange. I managed to slip out of it and pat his head.

"Sorry buddy I needed to go do something, I'll explain it later" I talked some more with him and then was greeted by Bubble gum. I told her what I was planning.

"Don't worry everything will be ready for you, where's Bemo?" I help Bemo out from my bag and hand him to PB and greeted him with a hug.

"Don't worry I'll get him hooked up and ready...." She takes a few steps before turning with a smirk and half closed eyes"....and I'm sure Marceline will be impressed" she winked and head back stage.

Through out the party I was given presents , that annoyingly before I could open them Tree Trunks would swipe them and set them down on a table.

Then I saw Marceline, her beautiful light grey skin seemingly perfect as always. She was wearing a black and red baseball tee , a pair of skinny blue jeans and red converse. Her long raven hair was up in a pony tail as her bangs hung down partially covering amazing crimson eyes.

When she saw me she hovered above the crowd and landed in a flip in front of me. She gave me a big hug , the I returned lifting her up. Her cheeks were slightly darker and then smiled as I let go and she floated , being just exactly one inch higher than me. I saw that she was still annoyed that I was now a couple inches taller than her.

"Happy Birthday Finny" she gave a big closed eyed grin flashing her fangs. "Haven't seen you in a while. You been avoiding me?" She leaned in close with a smirk and a raised eyebrow.

"Nah, I've just been really busy in fact I have something big planned for this party." I saw with a smirk of my own.

"Oh really what are this plans your so proud of?" she said resting her hands on her hands.

"I plan on revealing my feeling to a girl I've had a crush on for years with a song" I said purposely said as vaguely as possible with a chuckle. For a moment she looked tore but then quickly went back to a raised eyebrow and smirk.

"So who is this lucky lady?" I just turn around and start heading to the stage.

"Don't worry you'll be able to tell" I hop on stage and saw that Bemo had his holo screen up of a vid I made earlier that was paused. I sling my guitar over my shoulder and tap the mike set up getting everyone's attention.

"Everyone Having a Great time!?" I voiced that was immediately responded by cheers and hoots."OK right now I'll be playing for a girl that's very close and very dear to my heart, and I hope after this song she'll know my felling's and with more hope that she shares them.

I press play on Bemo and I flash up on the screen with a sound board and a mike and head phones, I begin playing.

As I finished everyone was cheering, everyone except Marceline. She covered her mouth and i saw that her cheeks had a flaring blush and she looked at me on stage.I smiled and waved to the whole crowd.

"After the party meet me where we first met. I won't call you out here cause I have a feeling we'd get swarmed" a few chuckles and laugh came from the crowd. I got off the stage and just felt the rest of the party speed by.

Jake gave my a ride home and dropped me off.

"You gonna go meet up with girl now?" he asked myself surprised that he could't figure it out.

"yeah I'm gonna see her in a minute, later" I waved goodbye to him as he headed home to Lady. I walked inside and got up the ladder into the living room, seemingly empty. I felt something against my bad followed by a pair of arms wrapping around my waist.I try to turn around but squeezed tighter not letting me.

"I don't want you to see my face right now.....I-It's A-all blushy" Surprised by Marceline's stutter, but found it extremely cute. I felt her face against my back and the heat coming from it."I understood the song and.....and I feel the same and I just need to think for a little while.Come by tomorrow night OK" I smiled and rubbed her hand.

"Sure thing"

"Close your eye's" I did as she said and felt her put something around my neck."Happy B-Day Finny, Good night" I felt her lips press against my cheek and I opened my eyes finding her gone in a flash. I looked down at what she gave me. It was dog tags, on one was the basic shape of my sword in a insignia like way. On the other was a red heart with a Fancy 'M' in the center.
